Momma always said...

Remember when you were a little girl (those of you with va-jay-jays) and your momma always taught you to sit with your legs crossed when wearing a skirt or dress?

You do?

Me too!

Apparently not everyone has that memo from their momma.

I see more chicks splayed out with their legs OPEN for the world to see what God (and their momma) gave them. Um cross those honey, unless you are getting ready to birth a child or have sex then it is time to keep the shop closed.

And what is up with little girls pulling their dress over their head when embarrassed? A little girl did that at Beans school today. "She is shy..."her momma explained.

Yeah well I can be shy too but I'll be damned if in order to hide from the world that I put my skirt over my dang head. That will just get me in trouble.

Ha, I have seen this many times, especially when I take my little ones to play at the "play land" thing at the mall, there always seems to be girls jumping around playing and flashing the whole world! Not 2 years olds either, I am talking 7 and 8 years olds. If I had a little girl I would freak!

I actually had a Chem teacher in high school who said to one blonde girl, "Well, we can tell SOMEBODY isn't a natural blonde . . . " as the result of her sitting splayed. Much to my shock, I don't think the teacher was ever disciplined for her choice language. Maybe we all knew secretly she was right!

I remember that. I even had teachers lecture me about sitting like a lady when I was wearing jeans. These were the same teachers who gave me detention for saying that sucks in class.

What's really funny about that is I LITERALLY had this happen to me.

I'm wearing this maternity skirt for the first time that is really not very stretchy at all. Apparently, while I was sitting down or when I got up the band rolled up over the top of my belly and as I was walking across the office building I was thinking "man, I feel really breezy..."

And considering I'm wearing non-maternity underwear so that my a$$ is hanging out of them, I'm sure someone in the building is in the fetal position somewhere crying right now...

GROSS! For some reason, while I had no problem buying pjs and undies in Victoria's Secret, now I see teenagers there and really get disgusted. They don't seem as innocent about them as I was. And, I don't know why little girls do that.

Teenagers seem to have no worries about letting it all hang out these days...

Gavin does that to his shirts sometimes. So it makes sense to see little girls do it. But after age 5 or 6, they definitely need to be corrected (not that they wouldn't at a younger age, but you know what I'm saying).

Might it have something to do with Brittney and Paris going commando and showing all for the paparazzi? I don't know, I'm just asking...Cross those legs girls, and wear underwear!

My 4.5 year old daughter does the following:
-sits with her legs WIDE OPEN for the world to see...when she's wearing a dress or skirt. I try very hard to make her wear shorts under her dresses, but it's a losing battle.
-strips down to her panties and stands in the front window of our livingroom like she's in the red-light-district in Amsterdam.
-sits with her legs WIDE OPEN when she's wearing a swimming suit.

I'm just saying it's a FULL TIME job chasing after her telling her to put her legs together and "act like a lady". I never realized how many times it takes to make kids remember this kind of crap. Is it something she should go to time out for?????
