Life goes on...

Now I don't know about you but every time I say that the old TV theme goes through my head. And. it. does. not. stop.
Anyways, I want to thank everyone for all of the comments. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this and that people have been through it before.
So I had a good weekend. Bud actually remembered Mothers Day. It truly was a shocker.
I slept in (9:30!!!! Which is 3 hours more), Bud went to Starbucks and got me a caramel macchiatto (EXTRA Caramel por favor) and flowers.
Bean made me a card which was super sweet. Then we lounged all day. Which was awesome. I had wanted to go strawberry picking but the weather had other plans.
So we watched movies in our jammies. Then Bud took me out for an uninterrupted dinner and a movie. This is a huge deal since the last movie I saw in theater (no laughing please) ahem! was the day before I had Bean. So almost THREE AND A HALF YEARS ago.
KARAZY I know!
We saw Made of Honor. Let me just say I have a huge crush on Patrick Dempsey. Seriously that movie made me love him a little more.
So all in all a good mommas day.
I am not sure if Bud read my blog or not but if he has he hasn't said so.
But it's like he has. We talked this weekend and I told him that we need to get our own place and that our old house MUST be put on the market. He agreed and we are checking out rentals and HOPE! to move in sometime next month.

So currently we are in honeymoon mode. And pardon me for thinking this but I am waiting for the bottom to fall out. You know the after math. As all of us marrieds know the honeymoon is a temporary state and soon it will all go back to the way it was.

In other news my Bean learned a not so nice word from Bud's aunt over the weekend. Can I just say that I am NOT HAPPY. Yeah this particular aunt has a terrible mouth and my kid now says, hold on, let me whisper it to you. It is so terrible. Bean says, f**k it now. Yeah. I know. Great huh?
So I get to play the stupid act and GOD FORBID he says is at school. I have to say he is trying to say Buck, (our dog).

But yeah on that note, Life goes on Life goes on ohhhhhhhh lalalalalalala......

wow! good for Bud! glad you guys talked (and totally know what you mean about the honeymoon phase after a disagreement, etc.).

also very happy to hear you had a wonderful mother's day!!! so jealous you got to see a movie in a theater!!!

and the bad word! yikes...that is one bad word to have!!! I know when Gavin started saying "stupid" I was all over him like white on rice...told him it wasn't a nice word and we don't use it and time out and...and I probably over-reacted. ;) But that's what I do best.

glad things are getting better!

as for the word that is hard, but giving him attention for it will just make it all the more appealing. He probably doesn't even realize it is a bad thing to say so I would just try to ignore it and see if it goes away

Glad you are feeling better! And don't worry about the swearing, every kid goes through that stage. At least you can blame it on an aunt. If Mike and I continue on the way we are Chicken is going to be the best sailor ever lol!

Glad to hear that things are good with you and Bud. What a great mother's day you had!

I hope you get a new place SOON!

I'm with Lori, if you ignore the bad word, he may forget it. If he realizes it gets attention he'll never stop. I have a friend who swears in front of her kids and her motto is that there are things that her kids need to learn that are okay for adults and not okay for them. I think it's a bit of a battle for her when they're young, though. They just don't understand the difference until they're a bit older.

Ok, I'll admit I'm not the person to talk to about cursing . . because I sort of secretly want to teach my kid how to curse like a sailor so as to traumatize his grandparents. Yes, I'm depraved like that. Admit it, it's funny when he says it, right?
