Sorry Mrs. Butterworth

Apparently I have failed.
I took off work this past Friday in order to gain some control over my crazy life and ended up with even more to do. That just sucks.
I kept Bean home with me that day. I asked him when he got up what he wanted for breakfast.

"Um, how bout an egg Buddy! I can make it and then you can add ketchup!" (yes I know it is revolting but he loves it)
"No Momma pancakes."
"Um well Daddy usually makes those. And he is at work."
"YOU can make them Momma."
"Actually Buddy (hanging head in shame) I can't. Mommy never learned how."
"Why Momma?" (yep we are in the why phase, please shoot me)
" I just never learned."

Yeah I felt like a failure! Like Mrs. Butterworth was LAUGHING at me. It sucked.
Now I love to cook. I try just about anything. but pancakes? Scare me. I should have tried to make them I really should have. Bad momma!

And thanks for the comments on my 100 things post.

I am still shocked no one had any reaction to my boob comment. But then you are women and not men.
The word boob would have been the only thing they saw in the entire post.

pancakes aren't that hard... try making them at night sometime with hubby there to help out... I bet you would do fine!

I suck at pancakes myself, they are usually over done no fluffy like hubby makes. So my kids know better then to ask me to make them now..
psst in the frozen section they do sell them pre-made ...Thanks mrs. butterworth :)

OOOO I did have something clever about the boobs but I thought she probably think I was gay... or get offended.. it a touchy subject with some women

My husband is the pancake maker in our house too. I always burn them or make them too thick.

(Found you via Catwoman)

I was going to ask to see a picture but I forgot! I am currently torn between saving for LASIK or for a boob job . . . both would make my life infinitely better (well the boobs would make my husbands life infinitely better.)

I got both LASIK and a boob job. I promise to post a pic of the girls one day.
But we had a nice chunk of a tax return a few years ago and hubby told me to do both (I HIGHLY recommend LASIK)

That's not that bad. I do agree to make them one night when Bud is there to help. I totally funked up a box of brownies tonight. It said to add 30ml of oil and 75ml of water... Um, I reversed those and only realized it when I put them in the oven and was checking how long to bake them for. O.M.G. my brain is fried from no sleep. LOL!

Pancakes are hit or miss for me. I usually let Husband make them.

I am an over-all pretty horrible cook, but if theres one thing im good at it's pancakes! You can definitely make pancakes. They're so easy they're right up there with Raman Noodles lol.

Pancakes, I can do. Most other things, not so much.
