Just twist my arm a little more...

I jumped on the band wagon last night. I have now been officially sucked into the series known as Twilight. I admit I did it mainly out of curiosity and also to fulfill my need to read. I am a notorious bookworm. Being a mom however has caused my list of "to read" books to grow by the day.
I heard about the series from Janet. Her daughter, Roo girl is obsessed with the series. I chalked it up then to being a teenage series. Then good old AFF became sucked into the series. Then I saw it on the news.
So I did what every follower does. I bought the first book in the series.
And now? I am hooked.

I am one of those people that finds it VERY hard to stop reading a book once I begin. VERY hard.
So I am sure that during this time my husband will be neglected, the house will be messy and my work will suffer.
But I will finish this book!

Oh on a side note - the Bean is visiting his grandma up north this week. This allows me to indulge my reading habit.
Of course even with Bean gone I still get to hear all of the crazy thoughts come out of his mouth.
The latest?
A fire truck and police car passed his grandma's car yesterday on the way to the store.
Bean looked at my mom and said, "Nana? Did somebody die?"
My mother was shocked and said, "No honey why?"
Bean said, "Well they must have been very very bad."

I've heard of those books - just was reading another blogger recently who was raving about them. I will have to check them out.

I'm currently obsessed with reading all the Janet Evanovich "Stephanie Plum" books - I'm up to 9 and there are 13 or 14.

I'm the same way I have to read a book until I'm finished with it, I get so sucked into the story.

Okay, now I am going to have to read these! You are like the 3rd person in the last week to talk about how great they are.

3 of the Hyphens were raving about Twilight last weekend. I will borrow them when they're done.

I keep thinking "when would I blog" if I were sucked into a great book?

*covering eyes* I'm scared to get sucked into any more books. I'm glad you have a little time though.

How wonderful that you're taking time to read. I wish I had more, but sadly my book time vanished when I had kids.

I am always glad to hear a mom reading! Every mom I know laughs at me and says she has no time to read when I ask if she has read any good books lately! I think it is important for moms to take time out for themselves and reading is a great escape. I looked up the series online and it sounds so interesting!!! Have fun!

Enjoy your week of free time! I've had a book sitting on my nightstand for three weeks now, but end up so tired at the end of the day that I just keep reading the same page over and over and over again :-)

I sat at the kitchen table last night for nearly an hour listening to my twins tell me ALL ABOUT the Twilight series - they love it!

Have a good evening - Kellan

I suck...I had no idea what this whole hullabaloo was about "Twilight". I finally got some clues and googled it and it sounds interesting...but I'm seriously still finishing up my 12-bazillion page biography on Queen Elizabeth II that I've been reading on-and-off since January. 2007. NOT joking.

Did you get your gift card yet?
